This is a new style of lantern that I have started making recently. The pattern is inspired by a lantern depicted in an 18th century French drawing. I like how the rows of round holes in the top scatter the light and let heat out, and how the lampshade mica panes in the body glow when lit. The lantern has a top carrying ring, no side handle.

Each lantern is made one at a time, and there WILL be small differences in finish and construction for each lantern.

14” tall, including carrying ring, 5.5” in diameter.
Red painted finish with lite lampshade mica door pane.
Sturdy construction for heavy use.
