17th-Century Guardroom Lantern
Here is a large hanging lantern that will be the envy of every camp or exhibit around you. This huge, handmade tin lantern is my interpretation of a lantern depicted in a 1645 painting and is unlike any other hanging lantern I have made.
22 inches tall, including the ring, and 10.5 inches in diameter.
Amber or lite-colored lampshade mica panes to simulate horn.
Antiqued, black, or red finish.
The candle cup inside the lantern is sized for a pillar candle.
This sizable 17th-century style lantern is based on a lantern depicted in "Guardroom with the Deliverance of St. Peter" by David Teniers the Younger, circa 1645.
Each lantern is made one at a time, and there WILL be small differences in finish and construction for each lantern.
