Hanging French Lantern
This is a new style of lantern that I have started making recently. The pattern is inspired by a lantern depicted in an 18th century French drawing. I like how the rows of round holes in the top scatter the light and let heat out, and how the lampshade mica panes in the body glow when lit.
Each lantern is made one at a time, and there WILL be small differences in finish and construction for each lantern.
14” tall, including carrying ring, 5.5” in diameter.
Black, red, or antiqued with lite or amber lampshade mica door pane.
Sturdy construction for heavy use.
